The executives leaving include Chief Financial Officer, Antonia Martino, Chief Legal Officer, John Bonino, and CEO, Alan Lane.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lane and the company\u2019s Chief Legal Officer will be departing on Tuesday, August 16, and according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1312109\/000095015723000884\/form8-k.htm\">financial filing<\/a> delivered to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Silvergate\u2019s Chief Legal Officer is set to step down on September 30.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The executives\u2019 decision to depart from Silvergate follows the bank\u2019s announcement in March to <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/silvergate-to-close-bank-and-wind-down-operations\/\">shut down operations and liquidate its assets<\/a>. Lane has served as the CEO of Silver Capital Corp and Silvergate Bank since 2008 and played a pivotal role in Silvergate\u2019s development and growth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the absence of a CEO, Silvergate has replaced Lane with Silvergate\u2019s Chief Transition Officer, Kathleen M. Fraher. It has also made Andrew Surry, Silvergate\u2019s Accounting Officer, the principal financial offer in the absence of Martino.<\/p>\n<p>Silvergate stated in the filing to the SEC that it will provide each executive severance benefits previously offered to employees laid off through the bank\u2019s liquidation process.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year in January, Silvergate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/all\/crypto-friendly-bank-silvergate-suspends-dividend-payouts\/\">laid off over 180 employees<\/a>, cutting its workforce by 40%.
