He\u2019s also a researcher, and his investigation lead him to believe that Terra was a scam from the very beginning. Of course, Laura Shin\u2019s Do Kwon interview<\/a> rubbed Fat Man Terra the wrong way. So, exercising his right to reply, he went to the same platform and told his side of the story.<\/p>\n

If what Fat Man Terra says is true, the Terra\/ Luna story is a horror film.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A court will probably decide if he\u2019s right or wrong, though. Let\u2019s explore his allegations, taking into account that this is just the investigator\u2019s interpretation of the facts. He might know more about the Terra\/ Luna case than everyone on Earth, though.<\/p>\n

Fat Man Terra Presents The Case
\nAccording to the pseudonymous investigator, the Terra creators were \u201cunfairly enriching themselves\u201d and failed to disclose critical information to investors. On purpose.
\nRegarding his interview with Shin, Fat Man Terra thinks Do Kwon was \u201cdancing around questions\u201d and didn\u2019t answer directly several of them.\u00a0
\nHe thinks Do Kwon was \u201cintentionally lying\u201d about Terra\u2019s breakup with Chai. Both when it happened and during the interview. At best the situation was \u201cheavily mishandled.\u201d
\nFat Man Terra claims that on-chain data shows that TerraForm Labs cashed out billions of dollars. They were always cashing out.
\nHe also thinks there\u2019s proof that the organization has \u201chundreds of millions stashed away.\u201d
\n\u00a0According to the pseudonymous investigator, at the time Terra claimed that the protocol was attacked, but could not find \u201cproof of fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n

The investigator also thinks that Do Kwon is \u201cnot able to stick to one story.\u201d That\u2019s a characteristic that fraudsters often exhibit. And he claims there\u2019s a reason that regulators all over the world are looking at Terra specifically. Some things don\u2019t add up, and this case is far from over.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

\nOpinions About Do Kwon\u2019s Character<\/p>\n

Respectfully, Fat Man Terra goes for the throat. He\u2019s been studying Do Kwon and his diagnosis is that the man is:<\/p>\n

A \u201csociopath with little regard for people\u2019s feelings.\u201d
\n\u201cAvoiding law enforcement\u201d and \u201cdefinitely on the run.\u201d
\nAn idiot. Apparently, Do Kwon held all of the company\u2019s bitcoin reserves in a single wallet.\u00a0
\nA liar. He had to know that his involvement in the failed algorithmic stablecoin Basis Cash was relevant and should have disclosed it.\u00a0
\nA thief. Do Kwon was pretending to believe in Terra over everything and promoting it as such to retail. In reality, he was \u201csimultaneously pulling out\u201d hundreds of millions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Fat Man Terra, it all comes down to that. \u201cIf you really believe in UST, why did you cash out so much,\u201d he asks Do Kwon. Also, why did he made up statistics and inflated the network\u2019s numbers?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The investigator will \u201cstart to believe he\u2019s sorry\u201d when Do Kwon starts making affected Terra investors whole from his own pocket.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fat Man Terra Is Still Optimistic<\/p>\n

The parasites will always be there, surrounding the crypto space. According to Fat Man Terra, if the industry wants to survive we have to start \u201ccalling out scammers\u201d and \u201cpushing for justice.\u201d He believes the industry will develop \u201cfailsafe mechanisms\u201d to filter out bad actors and, in general, he\u2019s \u201coptimistic about the future of the space.\u201d Make no mistake, though. Despite the optimism, the investigator claims that \u201cTerra was a scam at every level.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Laura Shin, Do Kwon will be back to answer the allegations in the future.<\/p>\n
